Chop&Wok is a pan-Asian wok-based takeaway and restaurant set in a modern and conceptual environment, with an Asian fusion menu, cooked in a live ‘food theatre’ where all is visible, served in a striking electric-coloured customer area. It appeals to both lunchtime and evening diners, and encompasses Chinese, Thai, Malay, Japanese and Indian flavours.

The business has grown to 10+ sites throughout the Midlands and London and has franchise agreements in place to expand to 20+ sites over the coming years. Chop&Wok despite having a strong loyal following on social media were not satisfied with their order numbers via digital channels. The founders approached food2go in 2019 to fully redevelop their existing online ordering solution to drive engagement and sales for franchisees. The new food2go solution was launched in November 2019 and has driven significant improvements across the board for Chop&Wok. We are now seeing both increased engagement as well as a higher number of orders with an increased average basket spend.

Chop&Wok has deployed a food2go powered solution featuring a branded mobile responsive ordering website (launched 2019) and a branded mobile app available for download on both the iOS and Android app stores (launched Q2 2022). A web browser accessible admin tool allows Chop&Wok management to have complete control over pricing, promotions, content & products at each site. The admin dashboard has the functionality to allow store managers to have direct control over their own sites but initially Chop&Wok have adopted a top down approach where HQ administer all store configuration and product set up duties. The Chop&Wok estate also features a handful of stores that operate without EPOS Integration, these stores utilise the food2go Ops Console alongside a Star cloudPRNT device to manage their online orders.

The food2go solution allows Chop&Wok to maintain a global catalogue that is then synced down to all the sites. The sync service can be customised to cover any combination of product title, product PLU, product price, product description, product nutritional and allergy data, product category & promotional campaigns. This allows Chop&Wok to service multiple price files based on territory from head office. The Chop&Wok estate also features local menu items ie items that only feature at a particular store and are available across the whole estate.

The admin panel allows for the easy creation and issuing of push notifications, digital vouchers and interactive surveys as well as providing access to sophisticated reporting functionality. Direct customer marketing e.g push notifications can be sent to all customers or any subset of customer e.g. by store, age group or buying history.

The Chop&Wok solution is fully integrated to the existing hardware / POS (WRS Systems) allowing for easy order management and a fully integrated loyalty scheme.
